7. Data Deletion Requests

  1. Self‑service: Log in to your Menu.ca account, navigate to My Account → Delete Account, and follow the prompts. This permanently erases your profile, order history, and associated personal information from our production systems within 24 hours.
  2. Email request: Send a message to privacy@menu.ca with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We may ask you to verify your identity. We will confirm deletion (or anonymisation) within 30 days.
  3. Facebook App removal: If you granted Menu.ca access via Facebook Login, you can also remove the integration in your Facebook settings. Facebook will send us a "User Data Deletion" callback, which we honour immediately.

Important: Certain data (e.g., financial records needed for tax or anti‑fraud obligations) may be retained for the minimum period required by law, after which it is securely destroyed.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—including encryption in transit and at rest, network firewalls, and restricted‑access controls—to protect personal data.
